Kate in Nashville…
For her next senior portrait session, Kate wanted to walk around Downtown Nashville, and to specifically get shots around Ryman Auditorium on 5th Avenue.
Ryman Auditorium is a special place for her having attended dozens of concerts there over the years with our family from some of her favorite musicians and bands like Dawes, Ben Rector, NEEDTOBREATHE, Drew Holcomb, and Switchfoot. She also got to perform on the Ryman stage with the Lipscomb Academy Concert Chorus during the Tokens Holiday Show in 2021.
Because of this, I really wanted to capture some great shots of her around the Ryman to continue celebrating her senior year. We had a lot of fun on a cloudy and windy day exploring all around the outside of the structure and even capturing a few shots with the iconic stained glass windows.
I ended up laying on the ground, right up against Demi Levato’s tour bus to get the last shot in the gallery above. Totally worth it! I’ll do almost anything to get the shot I want.
After Ryman Auditorium, we walked around for a while capturing shots of Kate in doorways, against walls, and right on Broadway. Here are a few of my favorites:
Olivia took a candid photo of me shooting Kate against a jagged, white brick wall at the back of a parking lot on 5th Avenue and Commerce Street. The end results is the first image in the gallery above.
Overall, I’m really pleased with how these turned out, and Kate LOVED them!
